Converting Access 97 to 2000

When attempting to convert an Access 97 DB to Access 2k, I receive the
following error:

The current user account doesn't have permission to convert or enable this
database.

As far as I know, I am using the correct password but dont seem to be
getting anywhere!

Any ideas?

The password might be correct, however you are logging in as a user with
insufficient permissions - you need to log in as a member of the Admins
Group, or as owner of the mdb.

If you can, I'd suggest you unsecure it in 97, then convert and reapply
security in 2000.
