Conflict with Access 97 and 2000 conversion

Hello,

I have a secured Access 97 database with FE and BE security working
wonderfully. ITD upgraded the users computer from 97 to 2000. So now they
couldn't log into the database as a user account because it won't let them
convert to 2000. If I log in as Adminstrator, then I can convert to 2000.
But the problem is some people including myself still have Access 97. So If
I use users computer (2000) and convert the database, I will not be able to
open it on my computer which still have 97.
Is there a way to work around this where 97 and 2000 can communicate without
problem? Whether it is 97 or 2000 can use the database like before. Thanks

Create 2 versions of the front-end: one in 97 and the other in 2000. Leave
the back-end in 97.

Deploy the appropriate version of the front-end to each user.

If you have to make changes to the front-end, make them in the 97 version
only. Once they're done, convert the 97 version to 2000 again.
