Convert AutoCorrect file to Word Document

R

Rick

Sometime in the past, I received a tip/trick to
save/convert the AutoCorrect file in Word, Excel, etc. to
a Word .doc file. It makes editing a great deal easier. I
have lost the method of doing so and wonder if anyone can
refresh my ailing memory (mine, that is, not the
computer's)
Thanks for your response.

Hi Rick,

See the article "How can I import and export all my AutoCorrect entries, so
they can be transferred to another machine?" at:

http://www.mvps.org/word/FAQs/Customization/ExportAutocorrect.htm

Please post any further questions or followup to the newsgroups for the
benefit of others who may be interested. Unsolicited questions forwarded
directly to me will only be answered on a paid consulting basis.

Hope this helps

Thanks Doug.
I'm not sure that this was the metthod I had used
earlier ... but it works. The mildly strange part of the
result is that the Word .doc that opened as a result of
your template/macro is formatted exactly the same way as
my original copy of the AutoCorrect backup file that I had
in my archives.
Thanks for a quick & correct solution. This has the
potential to save me a LOT of work in case ...
