controlling windows explorer on vista?

P

Paul

Windows Explorer on Vista continues to have a mind of it's own.
Every other directory I open up seems to have the "Artist", "Album",
"Genre", "Rating" header nonsense. I've tried forcing all folders to act
like the current using the preferences but that doesn't seem to take.

How can I lock this thing down the way I want? I only want details view,
with Name, Date, Size, Type, Tags for the columns. Every time, every
directory. Forever. Thanks in advance.

Hi,
I don't think you can apply this to all folders, but you can apply it to a
folder and its subfolders.

Right-click in the folder> Customize> Use this folder type as a template>
(select) Documents and "Apply this template to all subfolders."

Hope this helps,
