Control Panel

Ever since I upgraded WindowsXP Home to SP2. I can't open the printer icon
from the control panel. It some times freezes and other times it sends an
error message to Microsoft and Dr Watson. It includes in the Message AppName:
explorer.exe
Mod= 5.1. 2600.2180
Is there a way I can repair the control panel?

Thanks for the help. I looked at the google searches and can see there is a
problem with XP SP2 Home but I coudn't find a way to correct the problem.
