after SP2 can't open control panel

I just installed SP2 from Windows Update. I using Windows XP Home edition. I
tried to open the control panels and got the error message: Instruction at
"0x01fcf065" referenced memory at "0x00000000". The memory could not be
written. I let Dr. Watson debug and it failed. I get the same message when I
click on the recycle bin. Again this is Imediately after installing SP2 and
rebooting.
