Control Panel - Not Responding

I'm having a problem in the Control Panel where if I
select anything in the frame on the left side I get the
message that the Control Panel is not responding. Any
idea what could be causing this.

All of the windows updates have been applied.

This is a brand new IBM system and it's running XP Pro.

If it is a brand new set then it must be under the IBM warranty.Please
contact IBM customer support.
