In Windows XP, I switched my Control Panel to the classic view. Is it
possible to switch it back to the default XP view?

I take it that option should be available in the View Menu or from the Views
button? The computer I'm right now (not my own) doesn't seem to have a
Category View that I can locate. I'll check on my own machine when I get back
to it.

If you see "switch to category view" on the left hand of the Control Panel
window, click it. If it's not there, enable the common tasks pane (Folder
Options>General> Tasks) and click OK. The change should be immediate. If
not, refresh the Control Panel window.
