control panel applets

Once in the control panel, i click on say internet options the applet
open for a sec and then closes. This happens for several different
apps, but if i switch to a different user that user can open those
apps. What is going on here?

Hi Nathan,

May be due to malware. See section "Scan your system regularly" at http://aumha.org/a/parasite.php. Update Ad-aware, SpyBot before scanning.
