control p no longer brings up the printer

all my keyboard controls work except

control 'P'

and this doesn't work in any program!

Help....I can still print from the file menu??

First, are you able to use the "Ctrl" key to perform other functions?
Second, are you able to use the "p" key just to print letter or spell word

yes the control key works for all other functions control c, v, s and so
on....and the p key prints a p as well.
