Contro Panel Icon Missing

The game controller icon is missing from the control panel. The icon has
been replaced with the windows symbol for a file it does not recognize. How
do I got the game controller icon back?

Do you have the following file?

C:\WINNT\system32\joy.cpl

 

[Trebell]

The joy.cpl file is in the folder but the properties are not the same as
other contol panel files. Joy.cpl contains no instuction to open with
"Windows Shell Common Dll" which is included in the properties of all the
other .cpl files. How do I add the open with instuction to the file

File is present but under properties "opens with" is blank. All the other
Control Panel file open with "Windows Shell Common Dll". How do I add this
extension to the Joy file?
