Continual reboot in Safe Mode and Regular windows 2000 mode

Last night while using my computer after several hours the
computer froze on a screen. Control Alt Del wouldn't work
so I rebooted. I went back to the program and it wouldn't
work properly so I exited windows and rebooted again.
This time it loaded to the windows desktop and froze with
a strange white background. I received a Restore Active
Desktop message. I disabled the active desktop and then
rebooted.

It froze at desktop and then immediately rebooted, and it
continually rebooted over and over.

I entered safe mode to check out the problem and it
loaded. I entered in safemode networking. Thinking it
might be a virus I accessed the internet and was
immediately kiced to the desktop where the computer
rebooted agin. The cycle began again.

I entered safe mode again and safe mode now reboots the
machine exactly like entering windows.

I have loaded the boot disks all four of them 3 times. I
still can't get it booted, a commmand prompt or safe mode
in any way?

Help????? I am relatively sure its a virus, but since I
can't boot in any mode how do I get in?

Install your disk as a slave disk in some other Win2000/XP
PC, then scan it for viruses.

If this is not an option:
- Borrow a small hard disk (2 GBytes will suffice)
- Install a vanilla version of Win2000
- Install your normal disk as a slave disk
- Scan it for viruses
