The contacts folder is occasionally changed to a different type of folder,
and then some of the contacts functions fail to work. In case this is
your problem, start Windows Mail, then click on Tools, then Windows
Contacts, then right click in the empty space under the right end of the
toolbar in the Contacts window, then click on Customize This Folder,
then the triangle, then Contacts, then Apply, then OK. Check if this
makes all of your contacts appear, then close the Contacts window.
Note that auto-completion of addresses doesn't use the contacts list;
instead, it uses a separate list of the last 29 addresses you sent messages
to. If you'd rather use the contacts list, start a new message as usual,
except don't type any part of the address. Instead, click on To:.
