How can I change the location where the contacts are displayed under
the address book. I need to get the contacts next to the Global
address book, but its keeps adding at the end of the list. How can I
change the position

The position of address lists in the "Show Names From" dropdown is controlled by the order in which lists were added. Also, all the lists derived from the GAL are adjacent. So, I presume what you want is for the contacts to appear above the GAL? If so, the only way to do that is to have the GAL added after the contacts. That would mean adding a .pst file to your mail profile, making it the default store, removing the Exchange account, then adding the Exchange account back in and making it the default store again. I haven't tried that procedure in recent versions, but it worked in older ones.

If you want to explore a code solution the Profman library that comes with Redemption (http://www.dimastr.com/redemption/) may be able to help.

you can't really change it but you can change the order outlook uses the
books - look in the address books tools, options menu.
