Contacts imported into Distribution List

I'm trying to create a new Distribution list. I've inserted all the contacts
but when I create new distribution list and try to insert all contacts, all I
get is the global contact list (ie, the names of my work colleagues) and not
my personal contact. Can someone tell me where I'm going wrong.

try explaining what you're doing in a clear way and remember that we can't
see your screen. Tell us what version of Outlook, which folder you are in,
exactly what steps you are taking so we can follow what you have done.

Change the "Show Names from the" drop-down in the Address Book interface to
point to your Contacts folder.
