contact folders in address book

I deleted a folder that was in my contacts list that was empty. But
everytime I go to send an e-mail and click on the "to" when the "select names
window" opens up and the block called "show names from the" .....the folder
that I deleted is in there. I can't get rid of it. It's not in the list
under the folders because I deleted it but why does it show up in the other
window? It's driving me nuts and I can't find the answer anywhere. Please
someone help.
