Constantly writing to System Volume Info

Mike

Hey everyone, I've been running Vista x64 RTM for a bit now, it's constantly
writing to the system volume folder and eating up my hard drive, what gives?
Has this happened to any one else?

The default is for it to use up to 15% of free space before it starts to
delete old restore points to make room for new ones. You can change the
amount of free space it can use, I just don't remember where to go to do it.

If you find the setting or a link to it, please let us know. I've been
looking for a setting but have not been able to find anything other
than disabling the feature.

You can delete all but the most recent restore point using Disk
Cleanup. Click the More Options tab to see button for restore points.

On this computer it deleted about 21gigs of obsolete restore points a
few days after installation. Once all of your software is installed,
it doesn't take up much room since it just sets daily points after
that. At least until you install another program.
