Hi there,

I've got this problem with my PC re-starting at seemingly random times, for
no apparent reason. It also can be very problematic when starting-up,
freezing during the boot-up etc.

When it's working...it seems just fine & dandy.

I've run virus sweeps and there doesn't seem to be anything going on in that
area. I tried swapping out my RAM--since I had some new RAM sitting
around--but this didn't solve anything either.

So...can I assume this is a hardware issue?

Any ideas? HELP!

Steve, you describe perfectly the symptoms of a Power Supply starting to
get flaky or dirty line voltage. Depending on how
old your system is and the wattage rating of your PSU and how many
drives etc you are using etc etc.
