constant beeping

when trying to load the main account(admin passworded) in
xp all i get is a constant beeping sound and the keyboard
hangs.
this does not happen on any limited account.
Has anyone any idea how to cure this?

Have you tried starting with the 'admimistrator' account?
If you are using XP HOme, you will have to start in
safemode to do it. In XP Pro, press cntrl-alt-del twice
and enter 'adminstrator' in login name.

If you get in to the Administrator account, you could try
doing a system restore to before the problem started.
