The connection to the server has failed. Subject 'Rufus' Graduation',
Account: 'Inbox', Server: 'smtp.ncable.com', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25,
Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10061, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

I have recieved this msg when trying to send some pictures my email is
***@ncable.com.au

I have looked through previous threads but nothing seems to work.

Can someone please help me??

Also I know Neighbourhood cable does have a block on port 25 but i have no
idea what port number to put in

Is this a sudden, new problem or an ongoing one? Have you ever been able to
Send from that account with those settings?

I have just set up Windows mail and I am trying to send my first email
through it.

You have the wrong server name smtp.ncable.com, try mail.ncable.net.au for
both Incoming and Outgoing servers.
Tools>accounts>select your account>properties>server tab.

See settings for Outlook Express. WM uses the same settings.

Port 25 blocking is not a factor when your Internet connection is coming
from the same provider as the SMTP server provider.
