Hi Jean-Luc!

If your Mac is running Mac OS X 10.2 or higher, it can browse the network
and see Windows machines using Go --> Connect menu.

If it is running Mac OS X 10.1.x it can connect to Windows using the Go -->
Connect menu and entering "smb://windowsname/sharename" or
"smb://WindowsIPAddress/sharename". The name of the Windows machine and the
sharename can not contain spaces.

If your Mac uses Mac OS 9, you'll need to purchase third party software such
as Dave from http://www.thursby.com for your Mac or PC MacLAN from
http://www.miramar.com.

If you simply need to transfer files, you can enable personal web sharing on
your XP machine and use a web browser on your Mac to view the files and pull
them over. You can not push files up to the XP machine, however.

Hope this helps! bill
