It does vary from graphics card to graphics card, but generically, and as
long as you have updated drivers for your graphics card and not the ones
that XP installs:
Connect PC to TV via cable, and turn TV on.
Reboot PC.... Windows should now 'see' it has a tv attached. Windows cannot
'see' a TV that is turned off.
Right click on the desktop and select Properties. In the Settings tab,
click on Advanced and look for the Monitor tab.
There should be an option here to 'switch' output from monitor to TV.
Remember that audio will still emanate from the PC's speakers unless you
have also connected them to different speakers.
