connecting two computers

Dear Newsgroup,

I would like to know how I can connect and share
everything between two computers, a desktop and a laptop.
I have run several time the " create a new connection"
wizard but I am not able to make the two computers
connecting. I am using a USB-USB cable.
Can anybody there explain me what to do?

Surely the "new connection" wizard is for establishing a
new Internet service. Should you not be using
the "Networks setup wizard" Start - My network places -
Network tasks. ??
