connecting to wireless router using Acer and Vista

Has anyone ever had a problem connecting up through a wireless router that
is set to secured using an Acer laptop that has Windows Vista?? I have no
problem here at home but cannot at my son's home.

Are you talking about a connectivity issue rather than a Windows Mail
problem? If so, I suggest posting in the cognizant newsgroup:

There are a couple of potential issues here, though it's not clear exactly
what problem you are experiencing.

First is simple connectivity, where you just don't have the correct settings
for your son's router, or your laptop does not support the encryption scheme
configured on his router.

The second is that if you are using your ISP's SMPT mail server, and your
son has a different ISP, you may not be able to send mail if your ISP uses
port 25. The only way around this is a 3rd party SMTP server, such as
Google's.
