Connecting to AOL

My new HP cannot connect to AOL. I have already run
windows update (applying all critical updates). Once I
enter the web address and enter my screen name and
password, it propts that common window of
microsoft "windows has encountered an error...."and wants
to send a report to microsoft. What causes this?

I'm sorry, but I don't know. I recommend these steps:

1. Un-install and re-install AOL.

2. Contact AOL for help with its product.

Hi,

I'm an AOL user as well. Steve gave the correct recommendation. Uninstall in
completely, then reinstall it. It is some sort of a configuration problem is
what I have been told my AOL. It is easier to uninstall and reinstall the
AOL new than trying to repair it.
