Connecting to AOL e-mail

I just installed Microsoft Office 2003 and I followed the instructions on
setting up AOL as my e-mail account. I can send e-mails but when I use the
send/receive command, an error message occurs with the receive saying that it
is unable to connect to server.

1) If you have an antivirus program scanning outgoing mail, disable that
feature.
2) Make sure you're properly authenticating to the outgoing server.
3) Make sure your send/receive interval is long enough.
4) Make sure your server timeout value is large enough.
