Connecting same printer to two computers

Hi All
I have a Canon Pixma ip4000 printer hooked up to my first computer, Dell
Inspiron 9300 via usb and is working fine.
I would also like to hook up the same printer to my second computer, Dell
Inspiron 4000 but the usb connection is very loose on the second computer
Would I be able to make a successful connection any other way (IE.. parallel
or wireless?), short of taking the computer apart or continuously changing
wires from one computer to the other to print. Thanks for any helpful advice.

Ps Both computers on network.
