connecting laptop to TV

HELP! i'm having difficulty in connecting my toshiba laptop to the TV, the
picture is black and white. I have been on numerous web sites, non of them
offering any help. Am i not changing a setting on the computer that allows me
to view in colour?

My guess is that your output is set to NSTC and your connecting to a
PAL TV (or the other way around)
on my PC there is a setting in the control panel / display which you
can change.
