connecting laptop to television

I would like to show a power point presentation on a television. How do I
connect?
 
Does the TV have audio and video jacks? If it does, go to Radio Shack and
they'll be glad to sell you a connector cable.
 
The video card in your laptop will need to have some sort of TV Out jack.
Remember that the signal your television likes to receive is different than
the signal your laptop screen likes to receive.
 
Hi,
I have a question. I have tried to set up my second monitor as TV but I
cannot manage to do that. I do not know where to go to select the output
device as television; in display properties, settings, advanced, I cannot
find the twin tab view as the user guide indicates; I am lost
can anybody help please? By the way I am trying to connect my computer to a
European TV.
