Connecting a NT4.0 box to XP Pro boxes in a workgroup setting

I have a newtork with 3 XP Pro boxes and 1 NT4.0 box connecting to the
internet via a Linksys BEFSX41 Firewall Router.
XP Pro boxes are all SP1a with built-in firewall turned off. They are all
in the "WORKGROUP" workgroup, and getting there IP addresses via DHCP from
the router.
NT4.0 box is with SP6a, in the "WORKGROUP" workgroup and getting it's IP
address via DHCP from the router.

ALL computers access the internet fine (XP and NT4)

The XP boxes see each other just fine.

The XP boxes can all ping the IP address and netbios name of the NT box
The NT box cannot ping the IP addresses nor the netbios names of the XP
boxes. Pinging the IP address: "Request timed out." and ping the netbios
name: "Bad IP address {netbios name}"
When accessing via \\{netbiosname} "The network path was not found" This
is the same result both directions XP to NT and NT to XP.

Any ideas why the problem accessing the between XP and NT4?

How did you miss cross-posting to alt.windows-xp, alt.os.windows.xp,
comp.os.windows-xp, etc., etc., etc. ??
