Connecting a Mac to a DSL router

Okay I've never used a Mac before and I need to configure my flatmates to
connect to my adsl router for internet access. Could some please be kind
enough to tell me where to look so I can enter things like gateway, dns, etc
etc.

This is using a Mac with OS 9.1

This is using a Mac with OS 9.1

You're looking for the TCP/IP Control Panel. It can be found under Apple
menu --> Control Panels.

To set default Internet settings such as email client and web browser,
you'll use the Internet Control Panel found in the same location.
