I am unable to connect to my server running windows 2000
from clients running windows 98. the following error
message comes up; No domain server was available to
validate your password. You may not be able to gain access
to some network resources.

are you running DHCP on your server? Is your DHCP scope
properties set to provide the IP address of this server
as the only DNS Server? Is DNS configured to "forward"
to internet DNS Servers? If not, it should be. Do this
and see if you are able to resolve and connect.

Got WINS installed on the server? W9x needs it. Also, make sure you have
options 003, 006, 015, 044 and 046 (0x8) set in DHCP-server, Scope-options.
Does the ipconfig/all from the clients show that everything is pointing to
your server-IP?
