connect to my remote harddrive over VPN

friends, I just connect two PCs over internet with the options of VPN
built-in of WinXP Pro but can't connect to the harddrive from one pc to the
other, It seem like I can't see those PC but I can see that the VPN
connection is established, what I'm doing bad?

what I need to do?

Can I use a multiplayer game over my VPN connection?

Can you ping the remote computer by IP? If yes, can you ping the name? this web page may help,
