dear folks just thought i would post a question to ask is
it possible to setup a windows CE terminal running the
terminal services RDP connection in hardware to connect to
a Windows XP Pro computer. The Thin Client Device in
question is A NCD Thinstar similar to the wyse winterms, i
would simply like to use the thin client pc to access
explorer remotely and do management functions on the XP
box from a remote Admin location that I have (2 offices
split over 1 site) for security i dont want to put a full
pc in the remote office. ime fuly NT4 terminal services
qualified and Citrix CCA but ive never dabbled with the
terminal services connectivity with XP Professional.. any
thoughts..

regards

Sophia

The Windows Mobile 2003 OS and the PocketPC 2002 OS both have Terminal Services Client program
built-in to the OS. I use TSC on an iPAQ 3835 running WM 2003 to access/control my XP Pro boxes via
a wireless/wired LAN.

Note that you can also use the TSC to access/control Windows 2003 Server and Windows 2000 Server
boxes running Terminal Services.

You might post over on the news group for additional
help with thin clients.
