CONNECT COMPUTERS VIA USB 1.1?

Jonathan

I have a desktop and a laptop. I would like to transfer
files back and forth between the two, but I don't want to
set up a network. Is there any way I can connect them by
USB and transer files w/out setting up a network?

Thanks.

I don't know if you consider this a network but if you
have a crossover cable (looks like a regular network
cable but wires are switched inside the plug on ends and
usually yellow jacket) just plug one end into you a
computer's network card and the other end into the
computers network card and run the network setup wizard
and you should be good to go!!!!!!!!!!

Not really a network cause you dont have a hub, router,
or switch.

Anyway tryit if you want!!!!!!!

Also, certain motherboard (MSI, for instance) includes a PC-to-PC USB
solution... However, from what I've seen in commercial products, it
would be cheaper to use two NICS and a CAT5 cable...
