Configure office 2003 to go faster

OS is Win XP Pro and I am using Office 2003. When the
user click on Find when using Access and attempt to
retrieve some info, it takes a very long time. Are there
any features in Office 2003 that can be uninstalled that
can allow Access to go faster? Thanks.
