Configuration Error

I was having some problems with my computer and had someone tell me to save
all my information and do a system recovery. I did that last night and it
never asked for the recovery disks but then came up a box stating that I have
a configuration error (Code Purple). Does anyone know what that is or how I
can fix it?

What does "system recovery" mean?

Sounds like you may be talking about the computer manufacturer's
recovery procedure, which erases everything on your hard drive and
reinstalls the software that was on the computer when it left the
factory. CDs are not required for this procedure, as all the data can be
stored in a hidden partition on your hard drive.

If so, you need to contact your computer manufacturer, because recovery
procedures vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. Are you sure you want
to erase your hard disk? You will lose everything stored on your
computer. Backup before you try this procedure.

Yes that's right I was doing the computer manufacturer's recovery procedure
and I understand that it will erase everything and I did save all of my
information. But I was wondering if anyone had heard of or knew what the code
purple meant. After I did the recovery a box came up telling me that I had a
configuration error and that it was a code purple. Anyone know what that
means?

Well thank you I can use all the help I can get. I will look at it when I get
home later. Thanks again.
