Whenever I load a page on IE I get this error msg: ERROR
PARSING C:\WINDIWS\SYSTEM\\URTTEMP\CONFIG\MACHINE.CONFIG.

I haven't tried to parse anything since my High School
Latin class, which was right after Julius died. ("How did
you like the pizza, Caesar?" "Et tu, Brutus!"

Whenever I load a page on IE I get this error msg: ERROR PARSING
C:\WINDIWS\SYSTEM\\URTTEMP\CONFIG\MACHINE.CONFIG.

Try dragging that file to an IE window and see what it does with it.
It is supposed to be XML so it should display there Ok.
If you get an error message from IE too it would be confirmation of
the first error message.

The machine.config file is a configuration file for the .Net Framework.
What doesn't make much sense is the path that it is being found under.
There may be some diagnostics for it or some instructions on how to
reinstall the runtime (if that is all that you need) but I don't know that much
about it.

There are links at the bottom of the following article which may give you
some background.

Good luck

Robert,

After I OK the error msg, the specified page appears. I'd
just like to kill the msg. I had been using .net in a
former incarnation, but uninstalled it. Maybe this error
is a carryover. Anyway, when I drag the error msg to an
open IE window, nothing happens. Any ideas? Thanks. JON
