Conference Room resource driving me crazy!!!

I really need some help here - I have three conference rooms that I've
configured to be resource mailboxes. They are all configured exactly the
same; two of them work fine, but one won't allow users to add it as a
resource in a meeting request - users get the error:

You cannot schedule "Conference Room" because you do not have the
appropriate permissions for that account.

All three of these are moderated, with one user logging onto the mailboxes
and accepting or denying the meeting requests. In trying to troubleshoot
this issue I've found that for some reason the entire Administration tab of
the Calendar properties is greyed out - I can't click the Folder Assistant or
Moderated Folder buttons, even though I'm logged on as the Resource!
Obviously I was able to click these buttons at some point in order to set up
the moderated folder options to begin with - why is suddenly greyed out now??
I can't find anything about this on the Internet, and I can't figure out
what else to try. This is really starting to tick me off; anyone have any
clue?

Thanks,
Chris

Yep, we're connecting to an Exchange 2003 server. I figured out why the one
conference room wasn't working - in Tools > Options > Calendar Options >
Resource Scheduling I had the boxes checked to automatically process the
meeting requests. I unchecked all those boxes and now the room can be added
to requests.

Now I just have to figure out why that administration page is greyed out.
I'll take a look at the links you sent. Could this have something to do with
connecting via an mstsc session? I wouldn't think so, but with MS you never
know.

Thanks for replying!

I am unclear on why the "unchecking" of the auto-process boxes would
have enabled you to add it as a resource, but glad to hear you got it
going!

Your terminal session as a remote, as long as all permissions are in
place correctly there should not be a greyed out Administration tab.

I would use the PFDavAdmin tool to look at the permissions on the
mailbox a bit closer.

Users don't have permissions to create items in the calendars, so since the
meeting request couldn't be automatically processed Outlook wouldn't allow us
to attach the resource to a meeting. One of our users checks the mailbox and
manually accepts or declines the meeting, which is fine as long as the
auto-process boxes aren't checked.

On to the other issue - I used the PFDavAdmin to look at permissions on the
mailbox calendars; I couldn't really find anything wrong. On Resource1 the
DACL state is listed as Good and permissions look to be the same as what I
see in Outlook. On Resource2 the DACL lists Anonymous Missing - don't know
what that means, but the permissions look ok, and in any event I don't think
that's causing my issue as I can't access any options on the Administration
tab of either Resource.

Anything specific I should be checking?

You need to add back the Anonymous and Default (if they are missing).
The PFDavAdmin tool is what will enable you to do this. This is probably
why the tab is greyed out.
