Conference Room Calendar in Public Folders

Hello,

I would like to have a calendar in Public Folders that is for a conference
room. I want only certain people to be able to schedule appointments, but
most people to view it. I also want schedule conflicts to be rejected.

I know how to create a Public Folder for calendar items and mail-enable it,
but I don't believe this calendar will report schedule conflicts.

Is there a way to have a user account's calendar in Public Folders that is
up to date?

Thanks

Thanks for the reply.

My question is how can the resource accounts Calendar be viewed by many
people? I realize the free/busy info will be seen when scheduling the
resource, but my users want to have a calendar they can view to see
availability.

Thanks again.

Aloha John,

Well, that's really a training issue. Teach the users to use the Free/Busy.
If all they want is availability then the Free/Busy is a faster and easier
way to do it anyhow.

If you really want to let them see the actual calendar then log into the
resource mailbox and give all of the users Read permissions to the resource's
calendar. Then they can open it themselves to look at it. But that's not
a very efficient way to do it.
