computer will not reboot or shutdown

I added two S-ATA hard drives in a RAID with WinXP Pro.on a RAID 0 setup. My
problem is my computer will not shutdown or reboot on it's own or it takes a
very long time. I have been turning it off with the on button or hitting
restart if it's just a reboot needed. Any thoughts?
