computer shutting down

my computer shuts down without any notice. tried sasser detection tools but
everything came up normal. ???????????

Look in the Event log to see if it shows any error msg. and post to this thread.
 
Hi

Have a look in Event Viewer to see if there are any error entries there that
may help solve the problem.

My system has been doing the same thing for the last week. I've scoured the
event logs (both System and Application) and can find no error messages
related to the shutdown. I've been present when it happens and it acts just
like hitting the reset switch! I've tried everything from a software
standpoint including reinstalling the OS (WinXP Pro w/SP1). The rebooting
has lessened but is still there. Could this be a hardware issue?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
