computer shuts down

Since last "critical update" was installed my gateway pc
shuts down on its own. I have to sometimes wait several
minutes to hours before I can restart it. suggestions?

thanks - but that doesn't really help the problem. Any

other suggestions???

See if the update you installed is in ADD/Remove programs
listing. If so, delete it,and see if that helps.If you
cannot delete it, go to a restore point in system
restore, before this update install....Good luck.

mite not be your update,,,,,I've had the same problem
open your computer check for dust.....also check cpu for
dust that caueses computer to over haet and
shutdown,,,,,get a can of compreesed air for computers
(walmart about 3 bucks) hope this helps ,,just one
possible solution........
