Hi,
For the last two weeks i have a problem with my laptop
computer running windows xp home. after 1 hour or so it
abruptly shuts down. I restart the computer and it again
shuts down automatically after 1 hour or so. I checked for
the blast worm but there seems to be none. Can anybody
help me. It is really frustrating.
Thanks

Hi,

Check your power management settings in the system BIOS.

HI,

I don't think so, if it was the machine wouldn't boot up just fine after the
forced shutdown. It would need time to cool off. The pattern of shutting
down after one hour of use tells me that this is more of a power management
issue.
