What version and status of your Norton Anti-Virus is installed?
Uninstalling
(can be difficult) and reinstalling may resolve the problem.

Hope this helps.

The fault lies with Norton Anti-Virus. Either ask Symantec for help or
uninstall
and reinstall Norton Anti-Virus.

Is this a Home Computer? How much remains of the rton subscription. You
may be better served dumping Norton and installing a freeware
anti-virus.

I have no connection to Microsoft.
http://service1.symantec.com/Suppor...0706?OpenDocument&lg=en&ct=us&seg=hho&src=hot

I would uninstall and try AVG 7.5 Free:
http://free.grisoft.com/freeweb.php

It suits me as a Home User.

The error refers to SAVRT.SYS which is a part of the Symantec (Norton)
Antivirus Autoprotect feature. Therefore Symantec is the best resource for
troubleshooting your problem.

You could also try uninstalling any Symantec or Norton Programs you have on
your computer and see if that fixes the problem. There are good alternatives
to Antivirus. NOD32 is excellent.

Avast (free) works fine as does Anti-Vir. Some like AVG. For paid there is
NOD32 and Kaspersky.
