My computer keeps restarting while playing games. It never did it before. I
have not added anything to it. It just one day started doing it. I have
tried new memory, and a new video card. Neither one of them worked. If any
one has any suggestions I would appreciate it. I am out of ideas. I am
runing Windows XP home edition. 2000 athalon processor (1.6ghz), 256MB

Can you see any error during restart?
Are those games compatible with XP?
Disabling the restart on system failure feature may permit the exact
cause to be isolated: Right-click on My Computer, click Properties,
click the Advanced tab. Under Startup & Recovery, click Settings. Under
System Failure, uncheck the box in front of System reboot.

if this issue only occurs when playing games ? it could well be heat related
as the processor will be working hard during game play, check your heatsink
and fan are in good working order

good luck

Chances are it's an overheating issue. Check the fans on the video card,
if any, the cpu and others, including the power supply.
