This could be a lot of things. You'll have to do some trouble shooting prior
to anybody giving you meaningful answers.
First I would try to start/restart in safe mood. If this works, you probably
either are running too many utilities for how much RAM you have. Or, some
program (probably the last one you installed or modified) is incorrectly
installed. There could be litterally dozens of other problems, but those are
the two easiest to TS.
If the safe mode start/restart failed to boot fast, try running disk
maintainance. Check device manager for question marks or red "X". TS those.
Second, well there are just too many things to do what ifs at this point. Do
the first and reply. We'll go from there. In your reply, list some details
about your computer. Ram, hd, programs set to launch at start, current list
of prtocesses from task mananager. Commit charge (K) (total/limit/peak) from
task manager. The more details, the more somebody can help you.
