I am upgrading to XP Home Edition from ME. The setup
program starts, downloads updated setup files from
Microsoft, asks for the product key, starts the install
then rebooots itself. After reboot, setup program doesn't
restart itself. If I restart it, it's the same thing all
over again. Any suggestions? Thanks

I got around this by modifying the BOOT.INI file to not default and prompt for the OS at startup. I then selected Debug mode using the F8 key at Windows startup. The install proceeded

HOWEVER!!

I am receiving intermittent SYSTEM_CHECK_EXCEPTION errors, mostly when playing games. I tried a repair this morning and hopefully that will solve the problem.
