Hi,

I have a problem when my system is running the virus scan.
Operating system is Windows XP home edition, sertvice pack 2 installed,
P4, 3.2 GHz, 512MB RAM.
After scanning for about 10 minutes system re-boots on own, there no
blue screen, just re-boots. Anyone has any idea as to trouble shoots
this issue.

Thanks,
Ram

Right-click "My Computer" -> Properties -> Advanced Tab
->Startup & Recovery "Settings" -> Uncheck "Automatically Restart".

This will allow you to see blue-screens

As to your problem, you may be hitting a bad sector on your disk
during your scan. Try checking your disk by bringing up a command
prompt and entering:
chkdsk c: /f
Answer "Yes" to the next question, then reboot your machine.

HTH,
John
