We are running a Windows 2000 Server Domain here with a mix of 2000 and XP
clients. I happen to be running XP, but others are experiencing the same
problem on their 2000 machines.

After logging on to the domain, which takes longer than usual anyways, when
I go to right click on the start button, and go to explore, it will take at
least 2 minutes before the menu comes up to click explore. The same is true
for viewing programs in the start menu, deleting and browsing folders,
copying files. Only a few machines are experiencing this problem.

Here is what I have tried.
-removed all spyware from machine, which it was pretty much clean to begin
with, with SpySweeper, Ad-Aware, and the new Microsoft Beta scanner.
-deleted all temp files and cookies
-logged in as different user
-logged in as local admin while the network cable was unplugged from the
computer
-virus defs are up to date and ran a scan, which found nothing.
-I can ping our DC just fine, no delay.
-I can go to shares just fine if I know the path. e.g. \\servername\share,
instead of browsing for it.
-no bogus processes running in background.

Not sure what happened. My PC was turned off all weekend. Others were not.
Please help if you have any ideas. Thanks.
